Some photos from last night...

Last night, being Thursday, was American Night at Scott Base. This is the only chance the Americans get to come to SB without an invitation, and they come and drink Speights and buy stuff from the shop.
So these are some shots from the front door of Scott Base.

Which way home? An American following the poled route on the sea ice back to Mactown.

The pressure ridges with Black Island in the background. Access to the pressure ridges is restricted to Kiwi's..

Black Island, pressure ridges, and the Scott Base sign.

Line of flags, with the mainland in the background. American still walking.

Willy's Field airfield. This is where the LC-130 Hurks (hehe) leave for the South Pole.
